Are you trying to add a tag which is similar to an existing tag (or option)?

If you want to have the "Add..." option selected by default instead of the first existing option, you can use

addPrecedence: true

That's exactly what I did! I also set display: none; on the created "Add..." element, and the issue was resolved.
