v0.5.1
User-facing features/improvements:
- Experimental support for a
taskcommand to start new tasks via the cli. Non-interactive for now, meant to allow folks to experiment with scripting it or using sidekick in CI-like environments - It's possible to configure "integration_tests" now, meaning slower test suite that should be run less often
- Searches have improved fallback handling, helping guide LLMs more reliably
- User-controlled retry/continue action after repeated LLM failures, to resume when provider availability/internet access returns to normal
- Very long task descriptions are now supported, still producing a ranked repo summary now via multiple query chunks
- In java/kotlin, private members & classes were hidden in all signature outlines. They now show up when context has been shrunk
- Support backtick-delimited function names in kotlin for retrieving symbol definitions
- Requirements & planning processes will tend to retain more verbatim code or other details when provided
Bugs/Other:
- Batch embedding requests now limit batches to avoid max tokens per request
- Reduced false positives when validating edit blocks for hallucination: we introduced a flag the disables this functionality, which is the default now
- Update default openai models from gpt4o to to gpt-4.1 variants
- Fix rare issue in nats consumer, which would cause
side startto panic - LSP-based autofix didn't work in certain cases, leading to imports sometimes not being automatically fixed in golang
- When retrieving multiple adjacent symbols, the returned code blocks are more coherent now, getting auto-merged
- Bug fixes for workspace config editing via frontend (which is hidden behind the dev-only mode for now)
- Bug fixes for merging and handling merge failures after a task on a worktree completes (worktrees are also hidden in dev-mode, but should be in a near-future release)
- Bug fixes for the dev-mode-only "go-next" action (also coming soon)
