Hot on the heels of the big July 5th Stream Update, this smaller update comes with a range of fixes and updates.

NVIDIA Driver updates and testing

We have landed the NVIDIA driver 610.43.03 version in the repos. This driver version has improved DLSS support and several fixes for system sleep and wake-from-suspend issues.

This past weekend, we put out a call for NVIDIA GPU owners to help us test new driver updates, since no-one on the team owns NVIDIA GPUs.

So far, this call has been an unexpected success, in that several people have chipped in with their experience and expertise re. getting e.g. resume-from-suspend to work.

Support for OpenSSH configuration drop-ins

Thanks to the work of Reilly, our OpenSSH server configuration now by default supports system-local overrides of the stateless read-only default configs that we ship for it in /usr/share/defaults/ssh/{ssh,sshd}_config respectively, by dropping config snippets ending in .conf into /etc/ssh/{ssh,sshd}_config.d/.

You can also choose to maintain your own packages that drop-in vendor-specific configuration in /usr/share/defaults/{ssh,sshd}_config/*.conf files.
