Can Fossify Gallery be used as a 'file picker' when called from external app or web page AND remember state for next selection?

Hi,
I need to pick a photo from a folder to upload to a citizen sience platform. Multiple photos (either one more at a time) will be picked and uploaded. When the web page request next "upload photo" it is essential for Fossify Gallery to remember previous state and previous position across sessions.
How can this be achieved, please?
