How to use this platform?

I really like how on slack, it shows a red dot on the workspace when you have an unread notification. How are people using this? Are you just turning on email notifications to remind you to check back?

I also "watch" this repo for email notifications. But I am hoping that this space will become active enough that that will become annoying.

Also hoping to set up something better, like a weekly or monthly e-mail digest. Will make sure to make a post when I get around to it. There is an API, so shouldn't be too annoying, hopefully.
