Applications Open: Hardware Assurance Programme

📢 Applications for the Hardware Assurance Programme are now open.

A six-day programme in Cambridge (17–22 August 2026) to get you up to speed on AI hardware verification, and to start new projects on the technical and hardware infrastructure needed for international coordination on AI.

You'll work on open problems alongside residents from the Future of Life Institute, the Machine Intelligence Research Institute, Amodo Design, Longview Philanthropy, and others. They'll give talks, act as a sounding board, and help you think through where to take your work next.

There's a huge amount of work to get done in this space, and we're looking for people with backgrounds in hardware security, computer architecture, applied cryptography, formal methods, ML systems, or networking. No prior AI safety experience needed.

What we offer: £1,500 stipend, travel and accommodation covered, and an office space in Cambridge for the week. We want you to bring your existing expertise to some of the most important open problems in this area.
