I'm trying to upgrade mongodb-community but am told my command line tools are out of date and that I should install 26.3. The problem is I'm actually running 26.4.1, which is newer. The same happens for heroku.

According to your brew config output, you're running CLT (Command Line Tools) 15.4, not 26.4.1, so you should take the remedial steps described in your brew doctor output.

The other side of this issue is my coworker upgraded his mongodb before upgrading to macOS 26.4, and now his mongo service won't run. I imagine that's an issue for mongo to deal with, but their tap repo doesn't have issues enabled.
