First, you need to understand how U4L works. There are two processes, the TUI and the Daemon, that communicate with each other using ZMQ. Because the daemon is managed by systemd, it automatically starts every time the system boots. If you enable the "Apply preset on daemon start" setting, the daemon will apply your configured preset (premade, custom, automations) upon startup. If that setting is turned off, the preset will only be applied when you manually call the TUI through the uxtu4linux command. Regarding adaptive mode, it runs as a session. If you restart the daemon, it will check if adaptive mode was running during the previous session. Additionally, if the "Auto start adaptive mode" setting is enabled, the daemon will automatically run adaptive mode as well every time the system boots. |

First of all, I can't thank you enough for this app. I'm trying to leave stupid windows behind and this app is something I can't live without since I use a mini pc + egpu. Both UXTU and LACT are essential or my system just goes out of whack.
Now to the question, does the automation setting covers the auto start of the app? or just from hibernation?
Thank you.
