Unable to Get JS8Call to Transmit on FT-991A

I am having a heap of trouble getting JS8Call to transmit on an FT-991A. I have gone over many suggestions and YT videos, and documentation, asking fellow hams as well. Everything seems setup properly. The laptop activates the 991 PTT etc, but the familiar "fax sound" isn't heard, and no signal comes up on the waterfall. I hoping for some answers on this, if anyone could please help. 73!

It sounds like you have CAT control. But no Tx audio. So check the usual things:

• make sure the radio is in data mode. It likely won't modulate audio on the USB interface unless it's in data mode
• check the audio levels in both the radio and your computer
• make sure that your computer is actually recognizing the USB Audio Codec interface and is using it. You can select the interface in JS8Call, but that doesn't mean your computer's operating system is routing it correctly
