KashCal with DAVx5 #169

Hi all, Am I dense or is it not possible to use KashCal with DAVx5? I'm currently working around the issue to test the app out by importing from local (which is Fossify Calendar connected to DAVx5). KashCal is beautiful. I'd love to switch to it, but not if I have to keep a second calendar just to sync from. Thanks! |

Hey @Maddest-Max , what exact issue are you facing? KashCal works with device calendar but it's not aware of any other adaptor. so in theory, as long as Davx5 updates the device calendar and KashCal picks from there (and the other way round) it should work with KashCal. we have not tested the end to end workflow since we started with the idea that having multiple apps to sync calendar is unnecessary overhead. If you want to test and work with us to improve the workflow, maybe we can make it happen. |

Hey @one-kash , I should have been more clear. I run GOS. So, the local calendar is the one I installed, Fossify Calendar. Fossify Calendar just picks up that DAVx5 is installed on the phone and picks up the CalDAV after permission is granted. If KashCal does the same, I can get rid of the secondary calendar it's pulling in from. KashCal works great alongside Fossify Calendar. I'd just like to get rid of the middleman. 😄 I'd be happy to test anything you incorporate, especially in relation to the above. |

Correct. Graphene. So, yes. I had assumed it was pulling from Fossify Calendar, but to test it, I deleted FC, disabled and re-enabled device calendars in KC and it appears to be pulling from DAVx5. Great. It never crossed my mind it was getting the info from there. Thank you. So, now I notice I can't invite people from KC. Has it always been that way, or is something not properly setup? |

I assume GOS is Graphene OS; in KashCal, go to settings -> enable device calendar: does it show all the calendars that Davx5 is synching? What is your remote server source?
