Should the extension be removing "?ref" from github.com links?

I'm trying to get the extension to remove the ?ref parameters from the Github links on this web site:
https://githubawesome.com/github-trending-weekly-25/

It doesn't, and I tried adding a custom DNR rule but that didn't work either.

I am using Chrome 145 and v172 of the extension.
