Has anyone determined if it is possible to replicate the prediction of the number of Normal stars (eg total stars accessible before the shadow star, and excluding the new purple range)--- using purely the coordinates and the galaxy ID.
We have done survey verifications of around 60 regions of the same coordinates in different galaxies in the AGT. Most of them have the same number of stars but a a small number showed some variation of normal stars. At present I am guessing human error on part of our cartographers in the AGT.
I am more interested if we can have an algorithm which given only galaxy id and coordinates, predicts the total number of normal accessible stars in a region. Any takers?
