Welcome! This is where the Openwater community — researchers, developers, and clinicians — asks questions, shares how you're using the platform, and helps shape where it goes next. The platform is open; the community makes it better. That exchange runs both ways, and it starts here.

Where to post

• A question about a platform → the Open-LIFU or Open-Motion category. How something works, how to interpret an output, and how to configure the hardware or SDK.
• A general or cross-cutting question → the Q&A category.
• An idea or feature request → Ideas. Built something or ran a study? → Show and tell. Team updates live in Announcements.
• A bug or a concrete code/hardware change → open an Issue or PR on the relevant repo instead — those are tracked with the code.

How to ask a good question

The more specific, the better and faster the answer:

• Say which platform and, where relevant, the SDK/firmware version and device or module.
• Describe what you're trying to do, what you saw, and what you've already tried.
• Include the exact formula, parameter, or output in question.
• Keep it to one question per thread so the answer stays findable for the next person.

What happens to your question

We answer in the open, and the best reply is marked as the answer. Questions that turn out to be broadly useful graduate into the official docs and FAQ — so your question makes the platform clearer for everyone who comes after you.
