Please join us as we return to Quantum Crossroads: 1 year later - a virtual re-gathering of experts at the intersection of arts, culture, and quantum science and technology on 28 July 2026 (NZST).

In 2025, Quantum Crossroads was a global, hybrid event, sponsored by the UNESCO International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, with the goal of drafting a vision document for strengthening and further developing this interdisciplinary field over the next decade.
This document was submitted to UNESCO for the IYQ 2025 closing ceremonies.

To maintain momentum, we invite you all to come back together online - and bring your colleagues and collaborators, if you wish! - to share updates and ideas to continue to advance this vision and grow this community.

To accommodate many time zones, there will be three sessions - each will allow time for 10-minute “lightning recaps” as well as open discussion time (see draft programme below).

If you would like to provide a 10-minute lightning recap, updating everyone on activities of the last year, please email jessa.barder(at)otago.ac.nz with your first and second preference for session times and she will confirm specific slot one week before.

We look forward to seeing you, and continuing to build on this vision together!

Yes, all welcome to attend, and both previous participants and newcomers can ask Jessa <jessa.barder(at)otago.ac.nz> for a 10 min slot to share activities in quantum science and technology and cultural/creative practice since last year!
