Personally, I feel the developers have done a fantastic job creating a more streamlined process for patching the correct APK file versions. Previously, the user would have to actually go out on to the APK mirror site and find the correct version themselves, which sounds very closely to what you are trying to describe. With the latest release, they have made it so that the user no longer has to go out on their own and find the correct APK version. They have streamlined this now to where the download automatically happens. Therefore, I am not quite sure what your concern or problem lies? As previously mentioned, I personally believe they've done a huge solid for the less technically inclined individuals, as the latest release streamlines everything for the user! Just my opinion I suppose. |

Question
Hello ReVanced Team,
first of all, thank you for your work and for the project in general.
I really appreciate what you are doing.
However, I wanted to give some honest feedback regarding the current download and update process.
Even as a technically experienced user, I often struggle to figure out which files I actually need to download. I have been dealing with technology, alternative platforms, and more complicated download sources for years, so I am definitely not a beginner. Still, the whole ReVanced process feels extremely confusing and overly complicated.
It feels like you have to go through endless pages, GitHub sections, APK variants, managers, patches, and different versions before you maybe finally end up with the correct file.
To be honest, if even experienced users have trouble understanding the process, I can only imagine how difficult it must be for normal users.
So I honestly wanted to ask:
Have the developers ever tested the full process themselves from the perspective of a regular user? Starting completely from scratch, without insider knowledge or development background?
Because right now, the process feels more like navigating a technical maze than a user friendly update system.
Maybe it would help to simplify things with: • one clear main download page
• step by step instructions
• automatic device detection
• one recommended file per device
• or a much simpler update workflow overall
This feedback is meant in a constructive way, because the project itself is genuinely great. I just believe the accessibility and usability could be improved significantly.
Best regards,
Frank
