Turn off Developer Mode?

Can I turn off Developer Mode after successfully installing Sidestore ? I read it prevents some popups from appearing. Is that the only thing that will appear if I turn it off ?

you cant run custom apps (sidestore) without developer mode

correct. had you have tried to open sidestore after installing it during setup without developer mode, it would tell you that custom apps require developer mode

No, I haven't tried it. I just installed Sidestore and downloaded my first app. I'm asking this so I don't have to reinstall everything.
