The self-update nudge now follows updateMode, and the docs match the code

Fixed

• The self-update nudge branches on updateMode (hooks/coalface-conductor.js, the update command already documented it): auto runs the /coalface:update web-check when due and then only OFFERS the update, never applies it unasked; ask offers the check; remind is one line that a check is due, with no check asked for; off stays silent. The stamp is still written only when due - test: scripts/lib/hooks.test.mjs.
• Worker-wave width has a floor of one. skills/coalface/SKILL.md step 4, references/admission-control.md and the README state it as max(1, floor(platform width × bandwidth%)), never above the platform width; a platform with no fan-out still degrades to the sequential pipeline - test: none (prose; no code computes the width). The same SKILL.md edit removes one Journal sentence, "The journal also feeds the receipt and any partial report", a purpose statement that commands nothing; its content still lives in references/receipt.md.
• The receipt no longer shows 4/6 — machine cap. references/receipt.md says machine admission (maxLocalWorkers and the machine reading) holds domain-gate and heavy local runs, is its own line, and never sets the effective width - test: none (prose).

Changed

• The README Docs: line points at the published page, https://docs.thecolliery.org/tools/coalface, and the "publishing soon" note is gone.
