Hey folks,

I just released XQuartz 2.8.6_rc1. This is pretty much the same as beta 5 but rebuilt with release settings. If this looks decent, I'll probably ship it next month.

Has the window redraw on resize problem on Tahoe been fixed? I thought it was because the issue was closed, but it's not listed in the release notes.

EDIT: Oh, never mind. Re-reading the issue clarified for me that it was fixed by the Tahoe 26.5 update.

I get an "Update Error" on macOS Sequoia 15.7.7 claiming "The update is improperly signed and could not be validated."

Likewise, for Sonoma 14.8.7 - can't install the update because improperly signed.

Downloading the XQuartz-2.8.6_rc1.pkg file from the releases page and installing it manually (blindly overwriting the existing install, I presume), works and I have it running fine now on my old macbook air under 15.7.7
