Django/DRF background, aiming for GSoC 2027 — where should I start?

Hi everyone! I'm Kirtan, a 3rd-year CSE student, and my main stack is Python/Django/DRF — I've built backend projects using Django CBVs, custom user models, and REST APIs (including a full expense-splitting app with Django).

I'm aiming for GSoC 2027 and wanted to start contributing early rather than waiting for the official application window. I saw ScanCode.io is built around Django + DRF, which lines up well with what I already know.

Could someone point me toward a good first issue in ScanCode.io (or another About Code repo) that involves Django/DRF work? Happy to start small and build up from there. Looking forward to being part of the community!
