The Challenge

TealTiger is an open-source runtime governance engine for AI agents — published on PyPI/npm, integrated with 15+ frameworks, listed in LangChain's official docs, and covers 7/10 OWASP AI Security Issues.

But we have a gap: We're building in public, shipping code, landing integrations — and getting almost zero developer feedback. No testimonials. No "I tried this and here's what happened." No user stories. No community signal telling us what works, what's confusing, and what's missing.

We need people who will close that gap — not by writing more code, but by getting TealTiger into developers' hands and bringing back what they think.

What We're Looking For

Community-focused contributors who want to:

1. Get developers to actually try TealTiger — and document what happens
2. Collect real feedback — what's the onboarding experience? where do people get stuck? what governance patterns matter?
3. Build a feedback loop — from developer communities back to us

This is not about writing more marketing content. It's about finding out if what we've built actually works for real people solving real problems.

What You'd Actually Do

Primary: Get feedback from real developers

• Find developers deploying AI agents in production (LangChain forum, OWASP Slack, Reddit r/MachineLearning, Discord servers)
• Ask them to try TealTiger on their existing agent and report back
• Collect structured feedback: What worked? What didn't? What's confusing? What's missing?
• Document this as GitHub Discussions, user stories, or testimonials

Secondary: Build community presence

• Answer governance questions in forums/Discords (LangChain, AG2, OWASP, Browser Use) — naturally referencing TealTiger where relevant
• Start discussion threads about AI governance pain points — use them to identify potential users
• Help us understand which developer communities have the most governance need

Bonus: Content that drives adoption

• Write "I tried TealTiger on my agent — here's what happened" blog posts (authentic, not marketing)
• Create quick video walkthroughs showing the install → first governance decision flow
• Document failure cases honestly — "here's where TealTiger didn't help and why"

What We DON'T Need

• More issue templates or PR drafts (we have plenty)
• Generic "awesome list" type content
• Social media posting without engagement
• Marketing copy disguised as content

What You Get

• Real DevRel experience — portfolio of community engagement, user research, and feedback collection across major open-source projects
• Contributor credit — GitHub, docs, and any future hiring priority
• Direct mentorship — weekly sync with the founding team on community strategy
• Letter of recommendation for future DevRel/community roles
• First consideration if/when this becomes a paid position
• Genuine impact — your feedback directly shapes what we build next

Ideal Contributor

• You've used at least one AI agent framework (LangChain, CrewAI, AG2, n8n, Dify)
• You're comfortable talking to developers in forums/Discord (not cold-messaging, just genuine participation)
• You can write clearly — not fancy, just honest
• You're interested in AI safety/governance as a topic (not just resume padding)
• You can commit 3-5 hours/week for at least 2 months
• You're okay with ambiguity — we don't have a playbook yet, we're figuring it out together

How to Start

1. Comment on this discussion — tell us which community you're already active in
2. Try TealTiger yourself — pip install langchain-tealtiger and report your experience (good or bad)
3. Find one developer who's deploying agents in production and ask them to try it — report what they say
4. That's your first contribution. We'll take it from there.

Context

TealTiger provides deterministic governance for AI agents — tool authorization, PII detection, cost budgets, prompt injection blocking — with no LLM in the governance path. We're listed in LangChain's official middleware integrations, submitted to OWASP AST10, and referenced by NIST.

What we're missing: people telling us "I used this and it solved X" or "I tried this and it was confusing because Y." That's the gap this role fills.
