VisionPilot 1.0 will be released this week!
@TranHuuNhatHuy is wrapping up some final nice touches on the visualization module before the D-Day.

Once the release is done, we will closely coordinate with the Safety Assurance/Testing team to work on the SIL/HIL testings and fruther improve the quality of VisionPilot to make it strongly aligned with the market's quality standards.

New VisionPilot Architecture

Blind spot detection

• Currently being developed by @bilyas2 first PR

CAN interface

• @tranchithanh2000 and Ram (GitHub ID?) are working on it.
• @tranchithanh2000 published a PR regarding this.

Robust Photorealistic Scene Converter

• Objective
  • Develop a lightweight, fast video style transfer pipeline to convert CARLA simulator images into images resembling the Waymo Open Dataset.
• Key Requirements
  • Runs on modest GPUs
  • Achieves ≥10 FPS at 256 × 512 resolution
  • Preserves semantic consistency (e.g., cars remain cars)
  • Produces high-quality photorealistic results

Meeting log - Slot 1 - 2026/06/15

• Photorealistic Scene Converter:
  • Switched the semantic segmentation model from SegFormer to Mask2Former Swin-L
  • Included CityScapes 19 segmentation classes
  • Results have significantly improved from before on just some first zero-shot trainings.
    • However Mask2Former Swin-L is quite heavy. This might not fit our "lightweight for all" requirement...
    • Also the final results still got some minor artifacts. But maybe it's expected for zero-shot inference.
  • For now we gonna do more inference on various videos and scenarios to see the overall performance.
