This was requested back in 2023 and closed as outdated, but there's still community interest. I'd like to implement this myself if the team is open to it.

Right-click context menu showing Autofill login submenu with one account

The screenshot shows the right-click context menu on GitHub, where I have one login saved. To autofill, I have to:

1. Right-click the page
2. Hover over "Autofill login"
3. Wait for the submenu to appear
4. Click the account name

Four steps to do something with only one possible outcome. If there's one matching login for the site, the submenu serves no purpose.

Proposed change

When "Autofill login" is clicked and exactly one matching login exists for the current site, skip the submenu and fill immediately. The submenu only appears when there are two or more logins, because that's when the user actually needs to make a choice.

No existing behavior changes for users with multiple logins. This is an optimization for the single-login case, which is the most common scenario for most sites.

Scope

Client-side change to the browser extension's context menu logic. I originally requested this back in 2022, and there's been community interest since. I'm ready to implement it.
