Bitwarden Browser Plugin for Firefox does not insert TOTP-Codes?

Apologize, if I'm wrong here.
When I open a website, that asks for username, password and TOTP-Code, the plugin only inserts username and password.
The TOTP-Code was copied to clipboard, but isn't in the website. I have to press STRG+V, then it's in the field.
is that normal?
