Hello! I've joined the release crew; you may see more of these from me in the future 👋
The January 2026 release of PUDL is out. This is a regular monthly data release, primarily intended to ensure that PUDL has the most up-to-date EIA-860M data. Along for the ride are the initial ETL for FERC EQR data, changes to the build system, and nicer units on a few columns. We've also improved documentation for the top ~20 or so most popular tables -- see it at the whole-PUDL dictionary or search by table.
This is our first release as an application and not a library/package. As such, this and future releases will not be available on PyPI or
conda-forge.See the full v2026.1.0 release notes for all the details.
