CF workshop 2026 - Invitation to join the organising committee

Hello,

The organising committee for the 2026 CF workshop at ECMWF in Bolgna, Italy met today for the first time, but we'd be very happy for a few extra people to join ... might you be interested in helping out with the preparation of the meeting?

The committee meets online typically every one, two or three weeks - depending on the urgency of particular items - up until the start of the workshop in September. We discuss logistics and practicalities, and even more importantly the committee is responsible for putting together the workshop agenda (the results of these from previous years can be found at https://cfconventions.org/Meetings). It's usually the case that not everyone can make every meeting, but the principle of "most people being at most meetings" seems to work fine. The next meeting is at 14 UTC on Tuesday 02 June. Being able to attend the meeting in-person is not a requirement for being on the committee!

If you'd like to help out over the next few months, please let us know by replying to this issue. (In the event of too many volunteers - you never know :) - , it seems fair to favour the early responders.)
