This weeks's Commits got deleted while merging in a repository, Can't get them back even while using reflog. #149941
-
Select Topic AreaBug Body(Background context: Hey, I'm Underwhite, I have a Neocities site and I use Github to deploy it. May do other projects..) Please help me Github, I accidently deleted/reverted my commits from this week on this project and they are nowhere. not even in the reflog or restore. And I made my branch a rebase by accident and removing it does nothing. The only commits left are from last week. I have tried to remedy and resolve the issue by searching and just adding all my changes back (i have the restored file on my computer), but it is not working.. How do I first, restore my commits that are nowhere in reflog.. And second, turn my branch and delete the failed merge commit to turn it into (main) without rebase? Yes, I have tried to find a solution but to no avail. NOTE: I tried to get them by log and desktop but that even doesn't work, it's like I travelled back in time. |
