Hi GitHub Community,

I’m looking for guidance on recovering a hacked account. My LinkedIn account has been compromised: the hacker changed my primary email, deleted my posts, removed my bio, and blocked me from accessing the profile.

The hacker’s email added to my account is: cewel_etaki7@outlook.com
.

I’ve already contacted LinkedIn Support, but due to high volumes, the response is taking longer than expected.

I’m reaching out here to ask:

Has anyone dealt with a similar LinkedIn account hack?

Are there any effective ways to escalate this issue or verify ownership quickly?

Any advice, resources, or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a few extra tips that might help speed things up or give you the best shot at getting your account back:

Submit LinkedIn’s official account recovery form:
If you haven’t already, try LinkedIn’s “Hacked Account” form here: https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/ask/TS-RHA
Attach any ID or proof of ownership you can (old screenshots of your profile, confirmation emails, etc.).

Check your email for recovery links:
Sometimes LinkedIn sends recovery options to your old email before it was changed. Double-check your inbox and spam folders for any messages from LinkedIn.

Gather evidence:
Collect anything that proves you’re the rightful owner—like emails from LinkedIn, screenshots of your profile before the hack, or even mentions of your account on other social media.

Escalate on social media:
Some people have had luck tweeting @LinkedInHelp or messaging them on other platforms. Stay polite and clear about your situation, and reference your support ticket if you have one.

Keep updating your support ticket:
Periodically reply to your LinkedIn support ticket with new evidence or a gentle nudge. This can sometimes move things along.

Watch out for scams:
