Hi all coders,

GitHub has many features we rely on every day.. and some that still feel rough.
What’s one feature you love using, and one you think needs serious improvement?
In short points if you explain why.

From my side
I love to use the GitHub Actions because it’s tightly integrated with repos and PRs.
But Projects still feels confusing!! especially when dealing with sub-issues and table views. It’s powerful, but the learning curve is steep.

GitHub Actions.

• Seamless integration with repos and PRs
• Easy CI/CD setup without external tools
• Great ecosystem of reusable actions
• Feature that needs improvement 😅

GitHub Projects (v2)

• Powerful, but not intuitive for new users
• Sub-issues and relationships are hard to visualize
• Table and board views feel inconsistent and confusing
  *Steep learning curve for something meant to improve planning

Overall, GitHub Projects has a lot of potential, but it still feels more complex than it needs to be.

Feature I love:

GitHub Actions it’s extremely powerful and convenient
Native integration with repositories and pull requests
Easy CI/CD setup without external tools
Saves a lot of time automating tests, builds, and deployments
Feature that needs improvement:
GitHub Projects
UI can feel confusing, especially for new users
Managing sub-issues and dependencies isn’t very intuitive
Table and board views are powerful but have a steep learning curve
Overall, Projects has great potential, but better onboarding and simpler workflows would make it much more accessible.

• Pull Requests + Reviews
• Easy maintain my code with VM

Needs urgent a change 🚧

• Issue Management at Scale
• Managing large issue backlogs across multiple repos is still painful
• Cross-repo dependencies aren’t very visible
• Labels and milestones don’t scale well for complex projects

Overall, Github is incredibly powerful but some project management features still feel more engineered than “designed" 🫡
