hi @amitstudent2020 Unlimited code completions Where they differ is mainly in usage limits and how much headroom you get. Copilot Pro comes with 300 premium requests per month, while Copilot Pro+ includes 1,500 premium requests per month. Pro+ is clearly aimed at heavier usage and more advanced workflows, and in practice it also tends to get broader or earlier access to new premium models and features. Official plan comparison: -> Are Pro and Pro+ only different by request limits? Not entirely. While both plans unlock the same Copilot features, Pro+ gives you much more room to actually use advanced or higher-cost models. It’s better suited for long conversations, agent usage, and anything that relies heavily on premium models. New premium models also tend to show up on Pro+ first. -> What is a “premium request”? A premium request is any Copilot request that uses advanced models or premium Copilot capabilities, rather than the base included models. Official docs: Things that usually count as premium requests include: Copilot Chat when using advanced models Things that usually do NOT count as premium requests: -> Where to see usage and reset date You can see how many premium requests you’ve used and how many remain in: GitHub Billing & Plans under Copilot usage -> Overages and avoiding surprise charges For individual Copilot plans, premium usage is hard-limited by default. Key points: You can set a monthly premium budget, including setting it to $0. hope it clear's your doubt. |

Hi everyone,
I’m a Copilot Pro individual subscriber evaluating Copilot Pro+. I want to understand the practical differences and how billing/limits work, without sharing any repo/code details.
Could someone clarify (ideally with official documentation links):
Pro vs Pro+ feature differences
Are Pro and Pro+ the same feature set, with the only difference being premium request limits/usage?
If Pro+ has any additional benefits (priority access, higher rate limits/concurrency, larger context windows, agent limits, faster availability), what exactly are they?
Premium requests (definition + tracking)
What actions count as a “premium request” (Copilot Chat, agent/coding agent sessions, PR review, CLI, etc.)?
Where can I see used vs remaining premium requests and the reset date?
Avoiding surprise charges (hard cap)
If overages exist on individual plans, how do they work?
Can I set a hard monthly cap (including $0) so requests are blocked once the cap is reached?
Thanks in advance.
