I did some research.
Lately, a bunch of people have run into this exact issue when contributing to certain open-source repositories. Here is what is usually happening behind the scenes:
It's because Github Actions are down right now
If your pipelines are stuck in a Queued state, hanging indefinitely, or randomly throwing 500/503 connection errors, it is entirely on their end.
What you can do right now:
Don't spam re-runs: If a workflow fails or hangs, triggering it repeatedly will just clog your queue further until they fix the underlying infrastructure.
Keep an eye on the official status: You can track their progress directly on www.githubstatus.com.
