Your student verification looks fine. The screenshots show that your Education benefits are active and that the GitHub Pro coupon has already been applied.
The Copilot part is separate. GitHub currently has a notice in the documentation saying that new sign-ups for Copilot Student and the paid individual Copilot plans have been temporarily paused since April 20, 2026.
Since your benefits were verified on May 25, this may be why your account is still showing Copilot Free even though you are eligible for the student benefit. Reinstalling the extension or changing settings locally probably will not fix it, because this appears to be an account-side issue.
