School Email/Domain Issues

Hi everyone,

I verified my school email. When I go to the application to apply it says in green something to the effect of “your email address is verified and associated with _____” and it has a school but it’s not the school I go to. So I don’t select it and I go down a box to enter my email. But when I submit the app I get an error that says the email domain I used isnt accepted.

Your email domain has already been associated with the school shown in the green box. GitHub Education uses domain-to-school mappings, so if you try to apply under a different school while using that domain, you'll get the "We do not allow applicants to apply using this email domain" error.

If the school shown is incorrect, contact GitHub Education Support and report that your school's domain mapping is wrong. When creating the support request, select the option for incorrect or incomplete school information (such as domains or campus locations).

You should include:

• Your school name
• Your school email domain
• A screenshot showing the incorrect school association
• A screenshot of the error message

GitHub can update or review the domain mapping manually.

There is 13 schools associated with the domain, and the one shown is incorrect for me. I will do as you said! Thank you

You can also try using your normal email instead of your school email. I was able to get verified using my normal email as well.

I did that, and it worked lol. Regular email for the win.
