I submitted my Student Developer Pack application 4 days ago and haven't received any response yet — no approval, rejection, or update.

Has anyone else faced this delay? How long did it take to hear back?

4 days isnt unusual unfortunately,,,a few other threads here recently have mentioned reviews taking anywhere from a few days to 1-3+ weeks depending on how the queue is moving lately ,,, so youre not alone in seeing this delay .

a couple things to check while you wait :

• go to education.github.com -> check if your application shows as "pending" vs "under review",,,sometimes the status itself givess a clue even without an email update.
• double check your spam /promotions folder ,,,appproval/rejection emails from github education occasionally get filtered there,
• confirm the document you submitted clearly shows your full name ,school name,and a current date ,,since unclear documents tend to sit in queue longer without an explicit rejection(just silently delayed) .

if it passes 7 days total with zero movement:
email education@github.com directly with your username and submisssion date,,,,,,manual follow-ups tend to get a response faster than just waiting on the automated queue .

GitHub's Student Dev Pack verification can take anywhere from a few days to 2–3 weeks, depending on how clear your submitted documents were and current review queue volume. As of June 16, 2026, GitHub is also gradually reopening sign-ups for Copilot plans, which likely means their verification team is handling a higher load than usual right now — so delays are expected. What you can do:

Check your GitHub Education dashboard at education.github.com for any status update or pending action required
Make sure your submitted proof (school ID, enrollment letter, or .edu email) was clear and not expired
If it's been over 2 weeks with zero update, you can reach out via the GitHub Education support form

A 4-day wait is generally not unusual for Student Developer Pack applications. Processing times can vary depending on application volume and whether additional verification is needed.

1 - Many applications are reviewed within a few days, but some can take 1–2 weeks or longer during busy periods.

2 - Make sure to check both your inbox and spam/junk folders for any emails from GitHub regarding your application status or requests for additional information.

3 - You can also revisit the Student Developer Pack application page to see if there are any status updates displayed there.

4 - If you haven't received any update after a couple of weeks, consider contacting GitHub Support for assistance.

For now, I'd recommend giving it a little more time, as 4 days is still within the normal waiting period for many applicants.
