Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
I am an incoming Master's in Finance student at Fordham University (Fall 2026). I have already registered for my Fall 2026 courses, and my student portal shows:
Active student status
Fall 2026 current term
Registered courses
Official Fordham student ID
I have updated my GitHub profile and billing name to exactly match my university records.
My application has been rejected multiple times, but the rejection messages have gradually reduced as I corrected each issue. The only remaining message is:
"The school you selected does not appear to have a campus location in your country. Your school-provided academic affiliation document must indicate virtual learning if you are remote."
My program is an on-campus program, and I am currently in India because the semester has not yet started. I will travel to New York before classes begin.
Is there any way for incoming international students to complete verification before arriving in the United States, or does the automated location verification require applicants to be physically near campus?
I am not using a VPN, and browser location services are enabled.
Any guidance from GitHub staff or others who have successfully verified as incoming international students would be greatly appreciated.
