👋 Hi everyone, I'm Bungong Jim J.!

Hello GitHub Community! I wanted to introduce myself as I join this space.

I am an upcoming Pythonista who is deeply enthusiastic about the Python ecosystem. I am relatively new to the journey, but I am incredibly passionate about writing clean code, solving problems, and continuously building my skillset.

Right now, my main focus is on absorbing as much knowledge as possible and turning theory into practical, working projects.

Main Interests: Python development, backend logic, and learning software engineering best practices.
My Mindset: Always curious and ready to learn. I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my coding habits and optimize my workflows.
What I'm looking for: Navigating open-source contributions, learning from experienced developers, and finding cool projects to study.

Hi @Bungong — since you're new to GitHub and interested in Python, backend logic, and software-engineering practices, one small reviewed contribution may be a useful first step.

I maintain ai-language-partner, a local-first Japanese-learning OSS project. One currently unclaimed task matches that interest:

#19: add provider-status example responses

The focused change is to add accurate mock, fallback, and local-engine examples for /v1/providers/status in docs/backend/API_RUNBOOK.md. It is docs-only and can be done in GitHub's web editor, so no Expo, FastAPI, STT/TTS engine, or API key is required.

If it fits what you want to learn, comment /claim on issue #19, keep the PR focused on that issue, and include Closes #19 in the PR body. The issue already has a file link and first-PR checklist. No pressure if another project is a better match.
