🚀 Looking for a Flutter/GitHub Volunteer

Hi everyone,

I'm currently building Arewa Sports Hub, a Flutter application for sports fans in Northern Nigeria. I'm stiNeed Help Fixing My Flutter App on GitHubll learning Flutter and GitHub, and I'm facing some build and configuration issues that I haven't been able to solve.

I'm looking for a volunteer who can review my GitHub repository, fix or guide me through the issues, and help me improve the project. Any support, advice, or pull requests would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently building the Arewa Sports Hub Flutter app (arewa_sports_hub.kn) inside Termux on Android. I am trying to configure Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Analytics, and Messaging) and build a debug APK.

Here is what I have done so far:

1. Cloned the repository and installed Flutter 3.27 (stable) in Termux.
2. Created a Firebase project with the package name com.arewasports.hub.
3. Downloaded google-services.json and placed it in android/app/.
4. Updated android/build.gradle to include classpath 'com.google.gms:google-services:4.5.0'.
5. Updated android/app/build.gradle to include the Google Services plugin and the BOM dependencies:

   implementation platform('com.google.firebase:firebase-bom:34.15.0')
   implementation 'com.google.firebase:firebase-analytics'
   implementation 'com.google.firebase:firebase-auth'
   implementation 'com.google.firebase:firebase-firestore'
   implementation 'com.google.firebase:firebase-messaging'

6. Updated pubspec.yaml with the required Firebase Flutter packages.
7. Added Firebase.initializeApp() to main.dart.

The exact issue I am facing:
When I run flutter build apk --debug in Termux, the build fails. I suspect the issue is related to Gradle sync or dependency resolution, possibly due to conflicting plugin versions or the Termux environment. I followed the official Firebase documentation, but the build still breaks.

Here is what I need help with:

· Could you please review my Gradle configuration to ensure the Google Services plugin is applied correctly?
· Are there any specific conflicts between firebase-bom:34.15.0 and the Android Gradle Plugin version (7.3.0) in Termux?
· If you need the full error log, I can run the command again and send you the exact terminal output.

Thanks for sharing the details. Your Firebase setup steps look mostly correct, but the issue is likely related to the Android build environment rather than Firebase configuration itself.

To identify the exact cause, could you please share the complete error output from:

flutter build apk --debug -v

The Gradle error message will help determine whether the problem is related to:

• Android Gradle Plugin compatibility with your Flutter version.
• Gradle wrapper version mismatch.
• Google Services plugin version.
• Java/JDK version inside Termux.
• Firebase BOM dependency resolution.

A few things I would also check:

1. Verify your Android Gradle Plugin version in android/build.gradle or settings.gradle.

For Flutter 3.27, AGP 7.3.0 may be outdated depending on your Gradle version. The combination between:

• Flutter version
• Gradle wrapper
• Android Gradle Plugin
• Java version

must be compatible.

2. Check your Gradle wrapper version:

cat android/gradle/wrapper/gradle-wrapper.properties

3. Check your Java version:

java -version

Firebase BOM 34.15.0 itself should not normally cause issues, but the final dependency resolution depends on your Android Gradle setup.

Send the full build error log, especially the first FAILURE: section and the lines below it, and we can trace the exact issue.

Hello, thanks for helping me. My Flutter app fails to build on GitHub Actions with this error:

Build failed due to use of deleted Android v1 embedding.
Could you please check which plugin or Android configuration is still using the old Android v1 embedding? I can provide access to the GitHub repository and the full build logs if needed.
