Your application was rejected because GitHub could not verify your academic status. However, the page does not appear to provide a more specific reason.

Before applying again, make sure your proof clearly shows:

• Your full name matching your GitHub billing/profile information
• Your school’s name
• A current date or academic term
• Evidence that you are currently enrolled

You can use a current student ID, enrollment letter, class schedule, or transcript. Make sure the image is clear, fully visible, and not cropped.

Also verify your school-issued email address on your GitHub account, if your institution provides one. If everything is correct and the application continues to be rejected without a specific explanation, contact GitHub Education Support and include the application details while hiding sensitive information from public screenshots.

Just a heads-up: your rejection notice here doesn't actually list specific issues under "Please address the following issues" — that section is blank in your screenshot. That itself is worth flagging, since normally GitHub lists 1–2 concrete reasons (like account age, document quality, or name mismatch) so you know exactly what to fix. A blank reason list usually means one of two things:

1. A rendering/loading issue on their end
   Try refreshing the page or checking the application status again in a few minutes — sometimes the reasons list loads a moment after the rest of the card and can appear empty on first render.
2. Re-check your full application before reapplying
   Since no specific reason was given, go through the common rejection triggers proactively:

Academic email verified and set as primary in Settings > Emails
Document uploaded is a direct camera photo (not a scan/screenshot/PDF export), clearly showing your name, institution, and current enrollment/expiry date
Name on the document matches your GitHub billing name exactly
Account isn't brand new with no activity (see below)

3. If your account is recently created, that's likely the real reason
   Even without an explicit message, new accounts are a major automatic flag. Build some real activity (a repo, commits, profile bio) and wait 1–2 weeks before reapplying.
4. If you reapply and get the same blank-reason rejection, escalate directly
   Don't keep resubmitting through the form. Open a ticket at support.github.com under "GitHub Education," include a screenshot of this blank-reasons rejection, and ask for manual review — a rejection with no listed reason is something only a human agent can properly diagnose.
