Impossible to connect Visual Studio & GitHub Enterprise

Our company members currently use Visual Studio Professional; we are subscribed to that standalone tier (not the combined Visual Studio Professional + GitHub Enterprise bundle).
We recently subscribed to GitHub Enterpise but now found ourself unable to connect our Visual Studio apps to our GitHub Enterprise accs.
When we try to connect them, we are redirected to the github.com site without being able to access with entra id or switch to enterprise.

After searching online, it seems this is happening because we didn't buy the combined bundle, but instead subscribed to both services separately.

Can you please help us fix this and get them connected?

For context, the reason we subscribed separately is that we are Microsoft partner and we received:
-15 licenses to Visua studio professional (already in use)
-GitHub Enterprise Managed Users (EMU) subscription (now actived as a trial) with sso through entra ID and data residency in Europe

We are trying to contact support, but no one is answering and we are kinda stuck right now...
Has anyone been there before and knows how to fix this?

Hi, i think since you're using GitHub Enterprise Managed Users (EMU), Visual Studio needs to authenticate with your managed enterprise account, not a personal GitHub.com account. Make sure you're running the latest version of Visual Studio and try signing out of any existing GitHub.com account before signing in again. If it still redirects to GitHub.com, this is likely an EMU authentication issue that GitHub Support will need to investigate.

Already tried, and it's not working :(
It keeps redirecting us to the .com login instead of the .ghe.com login... We also opened a ticket, but it's been weeks and there has been no answer at all.

That is frustrating, especially after waiting weeks. coz it sounds more like a configuration or product support issue than something you can fix in Visual Studio. hopefully GitHub Support can investigate your enterprise setup soon. If you do find the root cause, it'd be great if you could share it here, it could help others running into the same issue.
