Hi everyone,

I tried to get me verified for the education benefits. But somehow I cannot get verified. I took a photo of my student card and uploaded it. After I adressed all the issues, it still cannot verify me. It doesnt show any issues that need to be adressed:

We were unfortunately not able to verify your academic status. Please address the following issues and apply again.

So I don´t know what is supposed to be missing. I also tried to upload my acceptence letter for the current semester. Doesnt work neither...

Same is happening with me i have give all the documents including fee reciept and id still cant be abel to get verified.

It´s too bad. I hope they provide a solution soon... Maybe additional verification Methods like SSO

Me to. I couldn't get access to github education, i have all the necessary files needed, but the github camera is so low quality, normally i can take clear photos , but throught github it is totally not clear, I hope they add document adder instead of image verification.

I am using a DSLR as a Webcam. Even I couldnt get the quality good enough. I dont get it, why you cannot upload PDF. But I even converted my acceptence letter for this semester to jpg and the AI couldn´t verify what the document meant... and thus, failed the varification

Thanks for the info. A few clarifying questions/details to help troubleshoot:

The verification message doesn't list any specific issues to fix, even though it says to "address the following issues." Is this a known display bug?
I've tried two documents so far: (1) a photo of my student ID card, and (2) my acceptance letter for the current semester. Both were rejected with the same generic message.
My student ID clearly shows my full name, institution name, and program, but does not show an expiration/validity date — could that be the issue?
Could someone confirm whether an acceptance letter is accepted as a valid document, or whether I need an enrollment verification letter / official transcript instead?

My student ID card does have an expiration date and didnt work neither...

Same here. I received the same generic rejection message without any explanation. I tried both my student ID and my current semester acceptance letter, but neither worked. If anyone has resolved this, could you share which document GitHub accepted?

I have this problem too, I can't get verified even though I have all the necessary documents. I have filled my billing address as required and added 2FA, I think the OCR isn't able to read the documents from the image that I took. I've tried submitting from my phone which has a modern camera but it still fails to read them. My document has the required data for verification as it is issued by my school.

I am now locked from retrying for a few days. If only I could just send the PDF file or at least submit a screenshot of it for clearer image.

Having the same issue. Looks like they're trying to have ai handle it and decided forged documents are too easy to get access to the edu platform so resorting to camera fixes it? Not too sure how you can't just go off your university email address and that being sufficient... Just SSO log-in through my university's platform and that should be enough since it requires an active email and 2FA...
