Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble with the verification process because the photo capture isn't yielding adequate quality. I have all the documents in PDF format ready to submit, but there is no option to upload a file instead of taking a photo. How should I proceed? This is a renewal—I’m still in college (it’s a four-year program, and I’m currently in my second year), and I thought the process would be simpler.

GitHub Education's verification tool is designed to only accept a live camera capture. It's not broken, and you're not doing anything wrong. The issue is that this capture often loses quality (lighting, focus, glare on the document), and there's no "upload PDF instead" button. That's a limitation of the tool itself, not your fault.

Since this is a renewal, your case is actually easier to solve because you're already in the system. Try this:

First, clean your camera lens. It sounds basic, but a smudged lens ruins any photo. Wipe it with a soft cloth and make sure there are no fingerprints or dust.
