Copilot in GitHub

I have a GitHub Copilot subscription but can't use any of the GitHub Copilot plugins. I'm on the latest version of Android Studio
2026.1.2in Windows and I have GitHub Copilot verison1.6.1-243installed. I installed this older version of the plugin because it's the only version so far that's let me get past the "Initializing GitHub Copilot..." screen and has the "Continue with Github" button to authenticate through GitHub. I am already logged in to GitHub on Android Studio but the IDE stays stuck on the "Waiting for GitHub Authorization..." message.I've tried several other steps like Android Studio's common "Invalidate caches and restart" option, manually going into the Windows Android Studio directory and clearing the GitHub Copilot caches, and getting a personal access token from Github to login to Android Studio. Nothing so far has worked. Is anyone using the latest version of Android Studio together with GitHub Copilot successfully on Windows?
