Hola from Chile: building a playful CS1/CS2 lab in public (WIP)

Important context: every project I mention here is still in development. They are public prototypes and learning experiments, not finished products.

Hi GitHub Community! I am eeminionn, a maker and developer from Chile interested in creative coding, robotics, Arduino/ESP projects, education and interfaces that make technical ideas feel less intimidating.

Lately I have been building in public and trying to turn university programming exercises into something more playful.

My current experiment is Tomatin Code Lab (WIP): a browser-based CS1/CS2 learning lab with 20 missions, a JavaScript runner, XP and some Chilean humor. It includes references to things close to my work and interests, such as Tomatin, Fundacion Mustakis, Arduino and ESP boards.

What works today is a public frontend prototype with local progress, exercises and automated tests. Real authentication, cloud sync, broader accessibility testing and pedagogical review are still on the roadmap.

I would love to meet people working on open-source education, beginner-friendly programming exercises or creative hardware projects.

Question for the community: what made your first programming course memorable, and what do you wish it had done differently?

Feedback and concrete ideas are more useful to me than promotion.
