Hello,

I recently did an account merge by adding an email from an old GitHub account to this one but I don't seem to have the commits show up on my profile.

The commits in question used a github no-reply email. Is there a way for me to link that no-reply email to this account? (The old account has been deleted)

Unfortunately, an old GitHub-provided noreply address cannot be added to or reassigned to a different account.

GitHub normally lets you restore attribution by adding the exact historical regular email address used in the commits to the new account. The exception is a GitHub-provided noreply address: GitHub documents that it cannot be unlinked from its original account, and commits authored with it cannot be reconnected to another account after the original account is deleted.

You can confirm which address the commits actually contain by appending .patch to a commit URL and checking the From: line. If it is an ordinary email address, add that exact address under Settings → Emails and allow up to 24 hours for the contribution graph to rebuild. If it is the deleted account's ...@users.noreply.github.com address, it cannot be transferred.

For future commits, configure Git to use the current account's verified email or its current ID-based noreply address. Rewriting old Git history can change the author email, but it also changes commit SHAs and is usually not worth disrupting a shared repository only to restore profile attribution.
