Hi everyone,

Hello,

I'm trying to verify my student status for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, but I'm running into an issue with the verification process.

The verification page only allows me to capture a photo using my camera. I already have an official enrollment letter from my university in PDF format, but I don't see any option to upload it directly.

Because I have to take a picture of the document, the quality is reduced and some of the required information may not be clear. My application was rejected, and I'm wondering if this could be part of the reason.

Is there any way to:

Upload the original PDF instead of taking a photo?
Submit the document through GitHub Support or another verification method?
Have my application reviewed manually?

Hi! 👋 Based on the rejection message, it seems the issue isn't just the camera capture option. GitHub couldn't verify your academic document because some required information wasn't clearly visible.

I'd suggest:

📄 Use an official enrollment letter or student certificate that clearly shows your full name, full university name, and current enrollment status/date.
📸 If only camera capture is available, take the photo in good lighting, make sure the entire document is visible, and avoid glare or blur.
👤 Ensure your GitHub profile name matches your academic document exactly (no nicknames or abbreviations).
🆘 If the page still doesn't allow PDF uploads, contact GitHub Education Support and ask if they can review your original PDF manually or provide an alternative verification method.
