I am looking for some guidance or assistance from a community moderator regarding an ongoing verification issue. I am a newly admitted 11th-grade (FYJC) Junior College student at K. J. Somaiya Junior College in Mumbai, India, and my automated applications keep getting rejected instantly.

Because the ticketing options under "Application not approved" are completely automated, I am posting here to highlight the specific technical mismatches that are causing the verification AI to flag my account:

1. Hardware & Geofencing Constraints: I am 16 years old and do not own a portable laptop to bring to the physical college campus. I use a stationary desktop computer setup at home to complete my coding work. Because of this, my application IP address is tied to my residential network, creating an unavoidable distance mismatch with the school's physical coordinates that triggers a location flag.

2. Institutional Hierarchy Discrepancy: My official institute-issued email domain is @somaiya.edu, which the global database maps to "Somaiya Vidyavihar University." However, in the Indian education system, Junior Colleges (11th and 12th grades) are governed by the state secondary school board despite sharing the same campus infrastructure and email domains. When the OCR scans my official documents and reads "Junior College," it seems to flag an institutional tier conflict with the university domain.

3. Name Inversion in Official Documents: Because the academic year has just begun, physical student ID cards have not been issued to our batch yet. I am using my official government-issued Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Allotment Letter and my finalized Institutional Online Application Form. In Indian administrative systems, naming conventions often invert (one lists First Name first, while the other lists Surname first). My GitHub public profile name matches my true legal identity, but the AI seems to flag this as a character mismatch.

I have fully verified my school email address on my account and have updated all my billing and profile metadata to look authentic.

Could a GitHub Education administrator or community moderator please look into this case or advise on how international junior college students facing these specific infrastructure constraints can successfully pass verification?

That instant rejection is almost always triggered by the automated OCR failing a direct match on one of your details. The name mismatch you mentioned is very likely the main culprit. Your GitHub public profile display name needs to match the exact spelling and order of the name on the document you're uploading. If your doc lists your surname first, try temporarily changing your GitHub display name to match that exact layout before you hit submit.

For the location check, since you don't have a portable laptop, a common workaround is doing the application flow through your phone's web browser while you're physically at college. That way, the browser's location check picks up your campus coordinates instead of your home IP.

Also make sure the school name you manually select in the drop-down matches what's printed on your admission paper, even if it differs slightly from the domain default. Hope that helps you get it through!
