HI! I came here to post the same question, as I had tried everything and nothing seemed to work. Looking around, though, I tried one of the suggestions and it worked! If you haven't tried it, what FINALLY worked for me was using the option of "Receipt from a Bursar". I went to the Financial Services link of my school and downloaded the two "Account Statements" they had available. One was from this Term, and one was for ALL Terms. I took a picture of the one for just this term first, to see if that worked and it did!!! I was skeptical it would as it was a pretty "lean" receipt without much information, but it was enough. Also, if you hadn't guessed by my above statement, I had to do it on my mobile phone, with WiFi off, as there was no way I found to get my desktop browser to change from "Capture Image" to "Upload File" as several people have mentioned around here. Hope this works for you. Good luck! |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
I've been trying to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, but I haven't been able to get past the verification process.
I've applied at least 20 times using different combinations of documents, including my bonafide certificate, student ID, and even both together. On some attempts I received messages like "your document appears to be an acceptance letter" or "your document doesn't include a date demonstrating current academic affiliation." However, my latest applications simply say:
«"we couldn't verify your academic affiliation."»
Under "Issues to address," nothing is listed, so I have no idea what needs to be fixed before applying again.
My university also doesn't provide student email addresses, so I can't use academic email verification either.
I'm currently enrolled, and my documents clearly state my enrollment and academic year, so I'm not sure what the automated verification system is failing to recognize.
Has anyone experienced something similar? If so, what finally worked for you? I'd really appreciate any advice or guidance.
