Pull Shark and Pair Extraordinaire achievements not appearing #203994

Hi @Raghuvaranlokati, For Pull Shark, you gotta actually be the author of the PR (not a reviewer or co-author), it has to be merged (not just closed), and it has to be a public repo. If any of that was in a private repo, make sure "include private contributions" is turned on in your profile settings, otherwise it might not even count it right. For Pair Extraordinaire, the co-authored commit needs to actually get merged in through a PR, not just sit there as a commit. Also worth checking — if that PR was merged with "squash and merge," sometimes the Co-authored-by line gets dropped from the final squashed commit message, which quietly breaks it. And the co-author's email has to be linked to a real verified GitHub account, or GitHub just won't recognize them. But honestly, since you say you've already double checked both of these and they line up, this is most likely just GitHub being slow. Achievements aren't calculated instantly, they run on some backend job that syncs every so often, and it can take anywhere from a day to like a week to actually show up. Annoying, but pretty normal. That said, there are also legit cases where it just... doesn't update on its own, even after waiting way longer than that. A few people in other threads had this happen and the only thing that fixed it was opening an actual support ticket with GitHub and sending them the specific PR/commit links — support manually unlocked it for them after that. There's no button or setting to force a refresh yourself unfortunately. So I'd say: give it a few more days first, and if nothing changes, go straight to https://support.github.com and hand them the repo/PR/commit links directly. That's basically the only real fix once it's stuck like this. Also double check Settings → Public profile → "Show achievements on my profile" is checked, just in case, since that's a really easy thing to accidentally miss. |

Hello GitHub Support,
Two GitHub profile achievements are not appearing on my profile even though I believe I have completed their requirements.
Pull Shark: I authored at least two pull requests and both were successfully merged into the repository's default branch.
Pair Extraordinaire: I created a co-authored commit using a valid Co-authored-by: trailer. GitHub correctly displays two authors on the commit, and that commit was merged into the repository's default branch through a pull request.
I have waited for the achievements to update, but they still do not appear on my profile.
Could you please check whether these events qualify and whether there is an issue with achievement processing on my account?
I can provide the repository, pull request, and commit links if needed.
Thank you.
