Hi everyone,

I’m trying to renew my GitHub Student Developer Pack, but I’m facing an issue during the application process.

I have selected COMSATS University Islamabad and my university email address (@isbstudent.comsats.edu.pk) is verified on my GitHub account and also appears correctly in the email dropdown.

However, the Continue button remains disabled even though my actual university email is verified and available in the dropdown.

I have also shared my location as requested.

Has anyone from COMSATS University Islamabad / Islamabad Campus faced this issue recently? Is this a problem with GitHub's university/email-domain database, or is there something else I need to do?

I would really appreciate any guidance. Thank you!

I had the same issue and found that my chromium browser denied to share my location even though i didn't get any error messages about it, it appeared to be shared. The fix was to use Chrome instead and making sure location sharing was allowed!

had the same issue a while back turns out the dropdown sometimes doesn't auto-select even if your email is verified. try manually clicking on your email in the dropdown again and then hit continue.
if that doesn't work, try clearing cache or using incognito mode. also double-check that your university is still listed in their database, sometimes they update it and things get wonky.
if nothing works, reach out to GitHub Education support directly they're usually pretty responsive.
