Hi everyone,

I am a current high school student at Xuzhou No.1 Middle School in China, and I am writing to seek assistance regarding my repeatedly failed verification attempts for the GitHub Student Developer Pack.

My Situation

My school does not issue physical student ID cards in the format that GitHub's verification system typically expects. Additionally, my school does not provide students with institutional email addresses, which I understand is a common verification method for many applicants. In the absence of these standard credentials, I have attempted to verify my student status using alternative documentation.

What I Have Tried

I obtained an official enrollment certificate from my school, had it translated into English by a certified translator, and submitted it as my proof of academic affiliation. The document clearly contains:

• My full legal name

• My school's name (Xuzhou No.1 Middle School)

• The current academic year

I understand that GitHub Education accepts various forms of documentation for verification, including official enrollment certificates, transcripts, class schedules, and tuition receipts. I also made sure that my GitHub profile name and billing information exactly match the name on my academic document, as this is a commonly cited requirement for successful verification.

The Problem

Despite submitting what I believe to be valid documentation, my application was rejected. The rejection email provided no specific reason for the denial—it simply stated that my academic status could not be verified and directed me to "Visit our EDU community for FAQs and tips." I have encountered similar accounts from other students who have received empty or inconsistent rejection reasons without actionable feedback.

This lack of specific guidance leaves me uncertain about what I need to correct or improve in my next application. I have already fixed my personal information and ensured consistency across all documents, yet the rejections continue without explanation.

My Questions

Does GitHub Education accept translated official enrollment certificates from Chinese high schools that do not issue student ID cards?

Are there any additional forms of documentation I could provide? I have access to academic awards, competition participation records, and my school's website records that list me as an enrolled student. Would any of these serve as acceptable supplementary proof?
