I Need help activating my Github Education account. The Photos I send are all being rejected even though they are exactly what has been requested.

Hi everyone,

I need help with getting my Github education account up and running. I have tried It some months before, and many times today, but I keep running into the same rejections every single time. I am enrolled and currently studying In a valid and recognized Institution, and have MULTIPLE proof of my enrollment. Every time I send an image of my school ID or another document, It is rejected for the same reasons.

"The image you selected does not appear to contain your school name. Your complete school name must appear in your document, not only the school logo. You may include multiple documents together. If your official document is not in English then you may photograph the original next to an English translation." - It IS in English and DOES show the full school name... And no, I CANNOT include multiple documents together, as there are no options to include multiple photos.

"Please ensure that your academic affiliation document contains your last name exactly as it appears in your GitHub billing information. If you have only a single legal name, enter it in both the first and last name fields of your GitHub billing information." - On EVERY SINGLE ONE of my attempts, I have sent documents containing my name EXACTLY as displayed on my Billing Information.

"Your document does not appear to include a date demonstrating current academic affiliation. For countries utilizing non-standard calendars, you may need to capture the original document beside one with a converted date. You may include multiple documents in your image, so long as they are legible." - I have included documents containing my exact start date, in the standard calendar found everywhere in Europe.

I am not using a nickname. I am not sending nonsense photos. It has already been 5 attempts and nothing has worked, using Physical, and Digital documents. This is getting ridiculous. Why can't I just have a portal where I can drag and drop documents so you can actually read the information If you have so much trouble reading what I send you, and realizing It Is exactly what has been requested, before I try this for the 6th time?

Since it's specifically the images bouncing every time (both months ago and today), the pattern points at how the documents are being captured rather than what they prove. Things that break this exact loop:

1. If the rejection says "previously used photo": the similarity detector compares image content, so multiple captures of the same ID from the same angle count as "the same photo" even as different files. Switch document types between attempts (ID → freshly issued enrollment letter), and photograph paper documents on a desk rather than re-shooting the same card.
2. If it says the document can't be read/verified: fill the camera frame with just the critical region — your name, the institution name, and a current date must all be legible after the image gets downscaled server-side. A whole ID card at arm's length usually isn't.
3. Check the name chain once: document name = GitHub profile name = billing name at https://github.com/settings/billing/payment_information, exactly. A missing middle name or different ordering fails silently.
4. Space attempts by 24h+ — "many times today" actively works against you; the automated system treats rapid resubmission as a spam signal.

If you post (or check) the exact rejection sentence you keep getting, the cause narrows down further — but if a fresh document type, a close-up capture, and an aligned name still bounce, take the application ID to https://support.github.com/contact/education, which is the only path to human review now.
